Brothers and Sisters,
Many of you may have heard through your places of employment or on television about the 2016 "Great Utah Shake Out." It is an annual opportunity to practice what you know about surviving an earthquake. This year's "Shake Out" is being held on 21 April. While you may not be actively participating, as you probably know, our community of Syracuse, UT, sits within a few miles of the "Wasatch Fault" that runs along the "Wasatch Front Range." Earthquakes are probably the most likely natural disaster threat we run the risk of being caught in.
You may also have heard on the news yesterday or this morning that a major earthquake hit in El Salvador, Equadore, damaging many homes and injurying or killing many people. In an effort to get the word out, about what you should be prepared to do in case of an earthquake, I have posted here a link to the Earthquake Country Alliance's Recommended Earthquake Safety Actions. I recommend you click on this link and look over the recommended actions. Knowing just what to do in the time of emergency might just save your life. Remember, "Preparation is Key to Successful Action."
